Pricing
Free for the workspace.
Pay only for the Reader.
The writing room is free. The Reader is a real compute cost, so it costs real money — yours (Studio) or ours (Pro). Pick the one that matches how you want to handle your prose.

Writing a team, residency, or MFA program?
We do volume contracts for writing rooms, residencies, and programs that want to standardise on one tool. Email teams@argonode.studio with how many seats you need and we’ll figure something out.
teams@argonode.studioQuiet Questions
Answers nobody asked for, mostly.
- Will the free tier disappear?
- No. The free tier is forever. The Reader tiers are how we keep the lights on, and many writers will only ever use the workspace. That is fine — the workspace alone is a complete product.
- What providers does Studio support?
- Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), Google (Gemini), and any local endpoint that speaks the OpenAI-compatible API (Ollama, LM Studio, llama.cpp). Pick one as your default and switch any time.
- What counts as fair use on Pro?
- Roughly the equivalent of running pacing + plot reads daily and ~30 character voice turns per day on a novel-length project. If you cross that, we email you and figure it out together. No automatic throttling.
- Can I switch tiers anytime?
- Yes, monthly. Switching down does not remove access mid-cycle; you keep what you paid for until the period ends.
- Does DraftProse write the manuscript for me?
- No. The Reader reads. It does not generate prose for the page. If you want a chatbot to draft sentences for you, use ChatGPT — that is the line we will not cross.
- Do you train on my prose?
- No. See how it works for the full mechanics.
